02  The Approach

Strategy first. Software second.

We don't sell technology. We sell time back — to founders, operators, and the people doing the actual work. Every engagement starts with the same question, asked plainly: what does this actually need to do, for whom, and how do we know when it's working?

How long it takes Discovery — 30 minutes
Proposal — 5 business days
Build — 2–5 weeks
Handover — 1 week

The best technology is the kind you stop noticing within a week.

— Ozi operating principle no. 04
01 — The Engagement Four steps. Two to five weeks.

From first call to working system, in four steps.

Every engagement follows the same shape. We listen, we design, we build, and we hand it over. You see weekly progress. Nothing ships without your sign-off. No long-running consultancy bills. No mysterious deliverables on slide 47 of a Word doc.

i.

Listen

30 minutes · Free · No commitment

A discovery call. We map your operation, the bottlenecks, and the work no one wants to do anymore. We're trying to understand your business, not pitch you.

What you bring
An honest answer to one question — "what's the work that's costing your team the most time?"
What we deliver
A clear assessment of whether we can help. If we can't, we'll tell you that — and often point you to someone who can.
ii.

Design

5 business days · Free

A short, written proposal. What we'll build, what it'll replace, how long it'll take, what it'll cost, and how it pays for itself. One page. No surprises.

What we deliver
A one-page proposal with scope, milestones, price, timeline, and the math on payback.
What you do
Read it. Ask questions. Say yes, say no, or say "let's adjust." We don't chase. We don't pressure.
iii.

Build

2–5 weeks · 50% deposit

We build. You see weekly progress demos and milestone deliverables. Nothing goes live without your written sign-off. You can stop at any milestone if priorities change.

What you bring
Access to the data and systems we'll integrate with, plus one decision-maker available for weekly check-ins.
What we deliver
Working software, deployed, tested, in your environment — not slides about working software.
iv.

Hand over & tend

1 week handover · Optional retainer

We train your team, document everything, and either step back completely or stay on a light retainer to evolve the system as you grow. Your software, your call.

What we deliver
Training sessions, written documentation, runbooks, and a 90-day defect-fix warranty.
What's optional
A monthly retainer for ongoing tweaks, new templates, and new agents — priced separately, cancellable anytime.
02 — The Calendar A sample engagement

What an average engagement looks like.

An illustrative timeline for a typical mid-sized build — a Custom Agent or a Report Builder deployment with three integrations. Smaller scopes finish in two weeks. Larger ones can run six.

Week 0
Discovery
Free call. We map the operation.
Week 1
Proposal & sign-off
One-page proposal, terms, 50% deposit.
Weeks 2–3
Build
Core system, integrations, internal testing.
Week 4
Polish & pilot
Your team tries it. We iterate on real use.
Week 5
Handover
Training, documentation, warranty starts.
03 — The Split Who does what

Who does what, exactly.

We don't believe in mystery. Before you sign, here's a plain-language breakdown of where our work ends and yours begins. The healthiest engagements are the ones where this is clear on day one.

Ozi does

Our side of the table
  • Discovery, scoping, and the written proposal
  • System design, architecture, and build
  • Integration with your existing tools and data
  • Deployment to a private environment we operate
  • Internal testing and quality review
  • Pilot iteration based on your team's real use
  • Training sessions and written documentation
  • 90-day defect-fix warranty after handover
  • Ongoing tending (if you opt for a retainer)

You do

Your side of the table
  • Show up honestly on the first call
  • Give us access to the systems we'll integrate
  • Provide source material — documents, processes, data
  • Make one decision-maker available weekly
  • Review weekly progress and approve milestones
  • Pay invoices on time (50% deposit, balance at delivery)
  • Bring real users to the pilot phase
  • Tell us when something isn't right
  • Use the system. Tell us how it can be better.
04 — The Money Honest about cost

We don't publish prices. Here's why.

Every Ozi engagement is bespoke. The same product — a Custom Agent, say — can land anywhere from a five-figure to a six-figure budget, depending on scope, integrations, training data, and how much of the work your team wants to handle in-house.

What we can tell you is this: every engagement is priced to pay for itself within twelve months — measured in staff hours saved or revenue captured. If we can't make the math work, the proposal doesn't go out. We don't sell things that don't pay back.

You'll see a clear price in your one-page proposal. No retainers dressed up as projects. No "T&M, billed monthly" surprises. One price, one timeline, one decision.

  1. i.

    Fixed price, written down.

Your proposal has one number. That's the number you pay. Scope changes get a written change order with a revised number.

  2. ii.

50% on signature, 50% on delivery.

Standard payment terms. Net 14 days. Larger scopes can be milestone-based.

  3. iii.

Pays back in 12 months or it doesn't ship.

If we can't show a path to payback within a year, we don't take the engagement. You won't waste your money. We won't waste our time.

  4. iv.

    Retainers are optional.

After handover, you can pay a monthly retainer for tending and new features — or take the system in-house and run it yourself. Your call.

05 — The Principles What we believe

Six things we genuinely believe.

Operating principles that show up in every engagement. We re-read them on Monday mornings. They keep us honest when scope wobbles or a client wants something that doesn't serve their actual interests.

i.

Time, not technology.

We sell hours back to people. AI is the tool. If a spreadsheet would do the same job, we'd build a spreadsheet.

ii.

Working software, not slides.

Every milestone ships something real. No "phase one is research" engagements. No 80-page strategy documents.

iii.

Bespoke, not generic.

Every client gets a system designed for their operation. Not a template with a logo swap. Not a feature flag on a SaaS.

iv.

The best technology is the kind you stop noticing.

Within a week of going live, our work should disappear into your operation. If you're still thinking about the tool, we built the wrong thing.

v.

Pay back in twelve, or don't build.

Every engagement has a payback path within a year. If we can't draw the path on a napkin, we don't take the project.

vi.

Your software, your call.

When we hand over, you own it. Take it in-house. Bring in another team. Stop using it. We document everything so the choice is genuinely yours.

Sounds right? Let's talk.

The first conversation is free, thirty minutes, and tells us both whether we should keep talking. No slide deck. No hard sell.
